Learning goals and family preferences
The goal is consistent, meaningful instruction while honoring each student’s developmental stage and capacity.
California Common Core State Standards (CCSS) are a set of academic benchmarks that outline what students should know and be able to do at each grade level in English Language Arts and Mathematics. They emphasize:
Critical thinking and problem-solving
Reading comprehension and evidence-based writing
Mathematical reasoning and real-world application
Clear grade-level progression and accountability
Optional Alignment
Families may choose to have instruction fully aligned to California Common Core standards
Alignment is helpful for students who may return to public/private school, take standardized tests, or want clear grade-level benchmarks
Families may also opt for a custom, mastery-based approach without strict standards alignment
The program is flexible and adapts to your child’s goals—not the other way around.
Families who are able to form a small group of up to 3 students may request a group homeschool class option.
Group Class Guidelines
Groups must be pre-formed by families (siblings or families coordinating together)
Students should be within a similar grade range and learning level
Instruction may be in person, online, or hybrid, depending on location and scheduling
Curriculum and pacing are customized to meet the needs of the group
Optional California Common Core alignment available
